Locality
Deskati is a city of 5000 residents located on the South East border of the province of Grevena, on the Northern part of Greece. The city is built on the foot of mount Kambounia part of the mountain range of mount Olympus. The city of Deskati covers 126 square kilometers and is built on an altitude of 860 meters above sea level. The red circle on the map below denotes the position of Deskati.
Surrounding cities include the city of Elassona (half an hour drive), Grevena (one hour drive), and Kalabaka (one hour drive). Deskati is the urban centre for all surrounding villages. The municipality of Deskati includes the villages of Dasoxori, Paraskevi, Gilofo, Paliouria, and Panagia. The shaded area on the map below denotes the are covered by the municipality of Deskati.
